Only a little over a year after the October snow bomb of 2011 , the Northeast was bracing for yet another early season snowstorm . Heavy snow, rain and wind impacted the region that was still recovering from Hurricane Sandy a week earlier. The storm, dubbed "Son of Sandy", dumped widespread significant snowfall down to the coast with some areas in Connecticut receiving over a foot.
